Can schools drug our kids without our knowledge?
There is a push to give schools the authority to evaluate and medicate students without the knowledge or consent of their parents. An article at the New Media Explorer has the details.
Pharma interests have united with mental health organizations to push through legislation that would require mandatory testing and forced administration of drugs to kids in schools - without their parents’ consent.
…
The big guns of America’s mental health establishment — including the American Psychiatric and Psychological Associations and the National Alliance for the Mentally Ill — are making united front in support of mass mental health screening of American children — as recommended in the New Freedom Commission report.
While reading this I was hoping it was a satire piece. Unfortunately it is all too well documented with links to all of its sources.

Proves conclusively that the powers to be in the psych field are in desperate need of analysis and medication.
Not only do you not have the right to choose what substances to ingest, others claim they have the authority to force you to ingest whatever substances THEY deem appropriate.
“Can” schools drug kids without their parents’ knowledge? Honey, they can do whatever they want. You gave up any right to parent your child, you practically made them a ward of the state by taking advantage of all those “free” government goodies. And now it’s time to pay the piper; and now you realize that nothing is really free, SOMEONE has to pay for it, and he who has the gold makes the rules.
Don’t allow anyone to “apply” for a Social Security number on your child’s behalf, don’t hand over the authority of raising and educating them to a bunch of collectivist Big Brothers and Sisters, and then MAYBE you will stand a halfway decent chance of avoiding the forced drugging of your child. Of course, all the moral high ground in the world won’t help you if guys with guns decide that their guns give them the “right” to tell you what to do.
This article is just too scary.

Look who just made the case for the Second Amendment!
It may come to the point that guns may be the only way to stop this stupidity. Not that I am condoneing violence, but the forced medication of children with out any concent from parents and leagle guardians is unacceptable, foutunetly I doubt that this will get any where.
no makes a good (if scary) point, and it’s one very few people these days seem to get, IMO. Good government is based on the assumption that people will do the right thing ours is based on the assumption that might makes right and that everybody thinks that way, so the government has to be mightiest.
“It may come to the point that guns may be the only way to stop this stupidity. Not that I am condoneing violence”
Why not? “When in the course of human events…”
violence becomes necessary, to advocate against it is irresponsible.
All I have to say about this is the sheeple get what they ask for. Remember, polls indicate that if the election were held today, the author of “It Takes a Village” would win. People have grown to dependent upon Big Brother to question him.
Your absplutely right dweeb when it becomes necessary I will be all for it. But the I just dont see this passing.
Before I took my kid out of public schools, there was a major push on to drug him. He had previously been on behavior-modifying drugs, but I had weaned him off (under the direction of a psychiatrist) with the result of fewer headaches and better grades. But the school still pushed for more drugs at every IEP.
