Raiding the Schools
This raid took place in a public high school in Goose Creek, S.C. And it happened because the principal, concerned that drug use was on the rise, called the police for help.
Together, they orchestrated a schoolhouse raid so shocking that most people didn’t believe it happened until they saw the videotape.
17 police officers staked out positions in and around the school and staged an early morning ambush. Some students were manhandled, some claim to have had weapons pointed directly at them, most were terrified. 107 students were caught up in the raid and held in lockdown for 40 minutes as police used a drug sniffing dog.
The raid ended at 7:20 a.m., just as the first bell rang. What did police find? Nothing.
Police say they got 12 hits - 12 places where the dog picked up the scent of narcotics. But despite all the planning and all the manpower, the raid was a total bust: no drugs, no weapons, not even a single cigarette.
The raid was at the request of Principal George McCrackin, who was initially quite pleased with it.
The day after the raid, as he showed [WCSC reporter Heather] Hamel the tape, McCrackin said the raid was a bust because the guilty kids were tipped off: “There is no question in my mind we know where those parties went, and what direction. We just did not catch them with it at the time.”
In order to catch them, McCrackin warned, he’d repeat the raid if necessary: Ill utilize whatever forces that I deem necessary to keep this campus safe and clean.
McCrackin eventually stepped down from his position and took a desk job. School Superintendent Chester Floyd is handling the aftermath and he seems far more contrite than McCrackin.
I said Im sorry that it happened that way. And certainly, if in fact we have one student who feels like they were mistreated, then I want us to be sympathetic to that students needs, says Floyd.
Close to 60 families have joined two separate lawsuits against the school district and police department. The South Carolina Attorney Generals Office is also investigating the school and police for criminal conduct.

The principal was in the right. Mr. McKracken was the best man for this school. These parents (black of course) are only after money as is usually the case and NO racism here, just the way it always is.
My son was there and he said the students “look outs” gave them notice and ran the guns and drugs via a “runner”. This “runner” almost knocked down my son while heading for the nearby woods.
You should know by now, Mr. zerointelligence, that the news reporters are always liars…Duh. You shoulda’ been there.
