Posting Guidelines

  • Op-ed style posts are encouraged but if they deal with a specific incident they should be made as comments under the appropriate incident post.
  • Posts should be categorized according to the state where the incident occured. If your post deals with a state that has not been categorized yet use the “.General” category and notify a site administrator. Essays and opinion pieces should also be placed under the “.General” category.
  • Sources must be properly referenced with attention to avoiding copyright infringement.
  • When possible, avoid using sources that require registration or subscription. Most articles that make the wire services will be available on sites without these requirements.
  • Make sure that your opinions are clearly separate from factual and quoted portions of posts. The easiest way to do this is to make use of [blockquote] tags when referencing sections of a source document.
  • Avoid profanity and inflammatory or libelous statements.
  • Avoid rote repetition of information from previous posts.

Site administrators may edit posts that stray from these guidelines.

Commenting Guidelines

  • Avoid profanity and inflammatory or libelous statements.
  • Comment spam will be billed an advertising fee of $100 for all items of a non-pornographic nature or $200 for all items of a pornographic nature.
  • All comments are reviewed for content by site administrators and may be edited or deleted as appropriate.
